My name is Emma Redfield
For me, makeup is where art, craftsmanship, and storytelling come together.
What began as a love for beauty quickly grew into a passion for transformation—not just in the way makeup can enhance someone's confidence, but in its ability to create characters, evoke emotion, and bring creative ideas to life.
After years of working as a beauty artist, I trained at Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, where I had the opportunity to learn from Hollywood industry professionals and explore the world of beauty, character, and special effects makeup. It was there that I discovered my passion for practical effects and the craftsmanship behind the work.
I'm especially drawn to the technical side of special effects—from sculpting, mold making, casting, fabrication, and prosthetic application to the problem-solving that happens throughout the creative process. I love building something from the ground up and watching it transform into a believable character.
At the same time, beauty makeup remains an important part of my work. Whether I'm creating timeless bridal makeup, polished beauty looks, or fully realized characters, I approach every project with curiosity, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating work that feels thoughtful and intentional.
I'm inspired by film, fashion, texture, colour, and the people I have the privilege of working with. Every project presents a new opportunity to learn, collaborate, and create something meaningful.
